Marketplace and Player Trading Stalls

What you can already sell on the Market and the Auction, and what's planned for player stalls: licenses, fees, commissions, limits and status.

Status as of alpha 0.9.5

  • Player trading stalls don't work yet. The Vankli marketplace has a meat stall, a fish stall and a vegetable stall, but when you look at them you see the message "The marketplace is closed for now", and the action is unavailable.
  • All trading licenses (Buyer, Company Charter, Food Trade, Armor and Clothing Trade, Building Materials Trade, Weapons Trade, Merchant, Auctioneer) are marked "coming soon" in the registry: you can't buy them ("Vankli will get to this later"). See Licenses.
  • What works: the Market for GOLD (administration goods), the Auction for ASD (between players), direct trade (Trading) and RIK the buyer.

Below: what works, and how the stall system is planned (based on design documents; the numbers may change: TBD).

What you can sell right now

What Where Currency Note
Weapons, tools, clothing, gear, misc Auction ASD from Lv. 8, see Market and Auction
Any crafted items direct trade ASD or gold 7 % commission on money transfers
Raw materials from the price list (leather, stone, metal, fiber, meat, fish, ilmenite, sulfur) RIK the buyer ASD 55 % of the list price, from Lv. 5, shared cap of 450 ASD a day
Whale meat and rendered blubber RIK the buyer ASD no more than 20 pieces of meat and 2,500 g of blubber a day
Ambergris Auction ASD NPCs don't buy it
Precious metal ore and ingots hand to hand or to the blacksmith gold not for ASD, not on the Auction, not by raven
Deeds, tack, backpacks, horse medicine trade or gift gold can't be listed on the Auction

You can't list on the Auction: bundles of ASD, raw materials from the price list (leather, stone, metal, fiber, ilmenite, sulfur, meat, fish), ore and ingots. That's exactly what the stalls are meant for.

How the stalls are planned (coming soon)

Rule Plan
What's sold raw materials by the sack (stone, metal, leather, fiber, meat, fish, grams of minerals) plus goods from your trade line: food, armor and clothing, building materials, weapons
Seller access Company Charter (Lv. 25, reputation 150, 9,000 ASD, never expires; requires Buyer) plus a trade line license, or Merchant
Buyer access Buyer license (Lv. 12, 1,500 ASD)
Trade lines Food Trade (Lv. 27, rep. 50, 4,000 ASD); Armor and Clothing (Lv. 30, rep. 50, 6,000 ASD); Building Materials (Lv. 33, rep. 50, 8,000 ASD); Weapons (Lv. 38, rep. 80, 11,000 ASD)
Merchant Lv. 45, reputation 250, 20,000 ASD: all 4 trade lines, a second stall, commission 3 % lower
Stall can only be placed in the base's trading zone; 1 stall (2 for a Merchant)
Lots up to 12 sacks per stall; the owner sets the price per unit; you don't need to stand by the stall
Listing fee 1 ASD per sack for 24 hours (burned)
Commission 7 % per sale, about 4 % for a Merchant
Spot rent about 20 ASD a day
Proceeds go to the Cashbox (shared with the Auction)

Whether all these numbers make it into the release isn't known yet TBD.

"Market" as in the Market

The Market is a separate administration storefront for gold; more in Market and Auction. Players don't list goods on the Market.
